Standing ten feet and upwards to over twenty feet in height, large or municipal fountains are the centerpiece of many public spaces. They typically consist of bowls greater than five feet in diameter with a maximum of fifteen feet in diameter. “Roman” styles are more architectural exhibiting egg and dart detailing combined with fluting, reeding and acanthus. “Sculptural” styles are adorned with organic forms found in nature often with the addition of lifesize figures of people or animals.
Plumbing and electrical packages are designed individually. Sophisticated pumping systems are required to move the great amounts of water used in these designs; however, they may be easily customized for a specific effect. Cast Iron pool copings and inner pool rings are available for tiered effects.
